- Ms Nicola Thompson
As I walk into work at MBI, every morning, I get to enjoy the bigscreen display of images produced by the researchers working here.
MRI coronal sections of the human brain, in particular pique my interest. Many times I have been entranced by the beauty of the visuals as they swung through different regions of the brain highlighting the basal ganglia, the hippocampus and differing areas of the cerebral cortex. This provided the inspiration for my painting, using acrylics, glitter gels and loop bands of differing colours.
