Research in Encoding and Decoding of Neural Ensembles (AREADNE)

22-26th June 2016

Santorini, Greece

Book Now

A fundamental problem in neuroscience is understanding how activation of networks of neurons gives rise to higher order brain functions such as learning, memory, perception, and ultimately conscious awareness. Technological advances are providing new glimpses into the global functioning of the brain. At the same time, understanding of how neuronal ensembles carry information has allowed the development of brain-machine interfaces to enhance the capabilities of people with sensory and motor deficits.

The 10th Research in Encoding and Decoding of Neural Ensembles (AREADNE) conference brings scientists from around the world to present their findings on the functioning of neuronal ensembles in an informal yet spectacular setting on Santorini. The conference series emphasizes interaction, with a size and pace that encourages in-depth discussion.
